Men and partial membership
With men representing more than 70% of the scientists worlwide, there is no doubt that they have a key role to play in promoting gender equity in science. By joining the EWS community, men support our cause to promote gender diversity in science. Their contributions serve to organize profesional development events as well as outreach and education events for women.
In addition, our men members can actively engage with supporting women in science. They are invited to participate in conversations about the challenges faced by women in scientific workplaces and how to promote men’s engagement for gender equality. Men scientists are also invited to contribute to mentorship programs and other activities intended to empower women in science.
Partial memberships are also opened to any person willing to support our cause but with no interests in the benefits of the full membership (e.g. non scientists women, etc.).
